28th Street is a station on the BMT Broadway Line of the New York City Subway, located at 28th Street and Broadway in the Gramercy neighborhood of Manhattan.

This station has four tracks and two side platforms. It was renovated in 2001 by MTA New York City Transit workers. The renovation sealed off and removed evidence of a crossunder outside of fare control, while false curtain walls were installed at the north ends of each platform, shortening the station by 10 to 15 feet. Tiles from the previous 1970s renovation were removed, restoring the original BRT

-style mosaics and station name tablets.

Mosaic artwork installed in 2002 is titled "City Dwellers", by Mark Hadjipateras.
