Wally Jay (b
June 16 ,1917 ) is the founder ofSmall Circle JuJitsu .Born in
Honolulu ,Hawaii , he was a student ofSeishiro Okazaki the founderDanzan Ryu from whom he received a "Certificate of Mastery" on1948-02-22 . He trained under Juan Gomez, andKen Kawachi (Hawaiian judo champion) in the early 40's. Through his experience, he developed his own system called Small Circle Jujitsu.He has produced many national, state, and regional
judo and jujitsu champions. In 1968, David Quinonez and in 1970 Bradford Burgo both were recipient of the Yamaguchi Award "for their outstanding showing" when they captured the 120 pound crown. In 1980, James Hundon was awarded the title of "Most Oustanding Fighter" at the Canadian National Exhibition. Professor Hundon went on to to have a successful international competitive career; create the art of Ju Trap Boxing; and, in 2008, was inducted into the U.S. Martial Arts Hall of Fame as "Most Distinguished Master."Wally Jay became good friends with
Remy Presas ofModern Arnis , andBruce Lee .Today
Wally Jay is the head instructor of "Jay's Jujitsu Studio", which is also known as "Island Judo/Jujitsu Club" in
Alameda, California . Now past the age of 90, he still travels world-wide teaching seminars on Small Circle Jujitsu.Notoriety
Known nationally and internationally as the founder of Small Circle Jujitsu. He has published two books; "Dynamic Ju Jitsu" and "Small Circle JuJitsu" and numerous instructional videos.
He has received many awards in the past which include:

*"Black Belt Magazines Instructor of Jujitsu and Man of the Year"'.

*"Inside Kung Fu" magazine named him as one of the 100 most influential martial arts personalities of all times.
*He has been twice inducted in the Black Belt magazine Hall of Fame.
*Holds a 10th Degree Black Belt in Jujitsu
