Shalom TV

Shalom TV

Shalom TV is the first national Jewish cable television network in the United States. Shalom TV addresses the entire spectrum of Jewish life with cultural programming of interest to the North American Jewish community.

Shalom TV launched in August 2006 as a Video On Demand television service, offering viewers a wide array of Jewish-oriented programs available at all times. Shalom TV is the only place on national American television where one can find Jewish childrens programming, learn Hebrew; study a page of Talmud, and be introduced to the mysteries of Kabbalah. Leading figures on the world Jewish stage are also featured in interviews and addresses on Shalom TV.

In 2008, Shalom TV made Jewish history by being launched nationally, and the network is now available in twenty million cable households across America. Cable companies offering Shalom TV include Comcast (the largest cable operator in America), Time Warner Cable, Cox, Verizon FiOS, Bright House, Service Electric Cablevision, MetroCast, and Blue Ridge Communications.

Network principals include Rabbi Mark S. Golub, who also founded the Russian Television Network as the first Russian-language channel for immigrants from the former Soviet Union; Bradford N. Hammer, who built up the Pennsylvania Cable Network (the nation's preeminent state public affairs service); and David Brugnone of Fox and Showtime networks.
