Edmonton Castle Downs in the 2001 election after Pamela Paul retired. In the 2004 election the Liberal opponent,Chris Kibermanis , appeared to have won by five votes. In a judicial recount the election result was overturned and Lukaszuk was returned to legislature with a margin of three votes. In the March, 2008 election, Lukaszuk won the election with a 2200 vote spread from his Liberal opponent.External links
