Emmeline Brice

Emmeline Frances Brice (9 March 1895 – 26 July 2006) is believed to have been the oldest living resident of the UK at age 111, following the 1 March 2006 death of Judy Ingamells, who was 112. [cite news

] Documents were sent to Guinness and received, but Brice died before an official announcement by them was made. She was born and died in Leighton Buzzard. Brice was said to have attended Queen Victoria's funeral in 1901, aged five. Brice's 85-year-old daughter had died in June 2006. Upon her death, 111-year-old Annie Knight from Scotland became the United Kingdom's oldest person.
