Maine School Administrative District 68

Maine School Administrative District 68 (often known as MSAD68) consists of two public schools in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. The district serves the towns of Dover-Foxcroft, Monson, Sebec, Charleston, and smaller communities. Students are often bussed in from these outlying towns. It is the largest of four school districts in Piscataquis County. Dover-Foxcroft has since become a hub for MSAD 68, as Monson is the only town outside Dover to have a school in the district until the end of the 2008–2009 school year, when Monson Elementary was closed due to declining enrollment.

MSAD68 has had a number of schools that are now defunct. Monson used to have its own high school until 1967. Monson middle school and high school students attend SeDoMoCha Middle School and Foxcroft Academy. Mayo Street Elementary School was a "transition" elementary school. This school was set up for 4th & 5th graders in Dover-Foxcroft. Morton Elementary School was closed in 2009 to be replaced by SeDoMoCha Elementary situated on the same grounds as SeDoMoCha Middle School. These students go to SeDoMoCha Middle School. The SeDoMoCha school complex now houses the district offices for MSAD 68, the elementary and middle school as well as an adult education center. Charleston Elementary School was a school located in Charleston until it fell into desrepair, and the funds to build a new building were not adequate. The students now attend SeDoMoCha Elementary School in Dover-Foxcroft and are bussed in. Monson Academy was a high school located in Monson. Although not technically a part of MSAD 68 during its lifetime (which spanned over 100 years), graduates of Foxcroft Academy from Monson are essentially both Monson Academy and Foxcroft Academy graduates — although no degree is given by Monson Academy.

MSAD 68 sends its high school students to Foxcroft Academy which is also located in Dover-Foxcroft.
