source =Luke O'Dwyer, (born 1 January 1980 in
Griffith, New South Wales ,Australia ) is an AustralianNational Rugby League player. He plays the position of Centre, lock and utility for the Gold Coast Titans, previously playing for theParramatta Eels Rugby League Club.A Gold Coast native, Luke played his junior football with
Tweed Heads Seagulls before catching the eye of Parramatta Coach Brian Smith. Under Smith’s tutorage, Luke has developed into a fine utility, able to answer the call and fill any hole left in the Parramatta line-up when injury strikes. His strong defence and ability to cover numerous positions has made Luke a key component to the Eels successful formula this season. When he arrives home, Luke will play a role in coach John Cartwright’s planning for the make up of the Gold Coast team.2006 will be Luke O'Dwyer's last season with the Eels as he has signed a 2 year contract to play with the NRL's new franchise the
Gold Coast Titans in their inaugural season in 2007.
