Krasicki Palace

Krasicki Palace

Krasicki Palace is a free-standing rectangular palace in the Polish town of Krasiczyn, close to Przemyśl in the Subcarpathian Voivodship. It was built for Stanisław Krasicki and his son Marcin Krasicki by Galleazzo Appiani between 1598 and 1633. At each corner stands a round tower. These towers each have a name; Baszta Boska (Divine tower), Baszta Papieska (Papal tower), Baszta Królewska (Royal tower), and Baszta Szlachecka (Noblemen's tower).

Decorations on the walls surrounding the courtyard include Bible scenes, medallions with busts of emperors, pictures of Polish kings, and hunting scenes.

The castle is considered a great example of Renaissance architecture in Poland.

In 1867, Adam Stefan Cardinal Sapieha was born at the castle.
