__NOTOC__Gostynin County ( _pl. powiat gostyniński) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Masovian Voivodeship, east-central Poland. It was created on January 1, 1999 as a result of the Local Government Reorganization Act of 1998. Its administrative seat and only town is Gostynin, which lies convert|107|km|mi|0 west of Warsaw.

The county covers an area of convert|615.56|km2|sqmi|1. As of 2006 its total population is 47,034, out of which the population of Gostynin is 19,119 and the rural population is 27,915.

Neighbouring counties

Gostynin County is bordered by Płock County to the north-east, Sochaczew County to the east, Łowicz County to the south-east, Kutno County to the south and Włocławek County to the north-west.

The county is subdivided into five gminas (one urban and four rural). These are listed in the following table, in descending order of population.
