Hong Kong at the Commonwealth Games

Hong Kong competed at the Commonwealth Games as a British colony or dependent territory in 1934, then from from 1954 until 1962 and from 1970 to 1994. The abbreviation for Hong Kong was HKG. In 1997 Hong Kong became a part of China, and no longer participated.

Overall Medal Tally

After the last games attended by Hong Kong in 1994, Hong Kong had 17 medals, see All-time tally of medals.

Three of the five gold medals were in Lawn Bowls, Mens Fours in 1970 and 1978, and Mens Doubles in 1978. The other gold medals were for Mens Rapid Fire Pistol in 1982 and Badmington Mixed Doubles in 1990.
