Scot Walters

Scot Walters

Scot Walters is a former NASCAR driver. He drove in the Craftsman Truck Series for a number of years for Brewco Motorsports.

Craftsman Truck Series Career

Walters made his debut in 1997, running the #37 Red Man Chevy at Louisville Motor Speedway. It was an excellent debut, as he started 13th and finished the race with a top-10: 7th place. In his next start at Nashville Speedway USA, Walters managed his first career top--10 start of eighth before finishing 26th. He also added a 29th at Richmond.

Walters moved up to a full schedule in 1998, running all 27 races for Brewco. He quickly scored a top-10 in his second outing at Homestead-Miami, finishing 10th. However, the team began to struggle and Walters had mediocre finishes. Fifteen races after Miami, he finally earned his second top-10 of the season: an 8th at Nashville. Later, he would add a 9th at Gateway. However, it would not be enough to save his job. After a 19th place finish in points, Walters was released and Brewco gave up trucks.

Walters only made one start in 1999, and it would prove to be his last. He finished 20th in the #81 Walsh Racing Ford (Jerry Glanville usually drove the car) at Homestead-Miami.

Busch Series Career

Walters only made one start in this series. It came in 1998, driving a second Brewco car. After starting 41st at Fontana, Walters parked the car after two laps and wound up 43rd.
