Minister of State (with special responsibility for Food and Horticulture)

The Minister of State, who has special responsibility for Food and Horticulture, is officially styled Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (with special responsibility for Food and Horticulture), and is a junior ministerial post in the Department of Agriculture and Food of the Irish Government. The Minister works together with the senior Minister in this department and has special responsibility for all affairs in relation to food and horticulture. The Minister of State does not hold cabinet rank.

The current incumbent is Trevor Sargent, TD, who took up the post in June 2007.
