Isaac Boss (born 9 April 1980 in Tokoroa) is a New Zealand–born Irish rugby union footballer. His grandmother was born in Glenarm, County Antrim, thereby qualifying him to play for Ireland. [ [http://www.irishrugby.ie/226_124.php Irish Rugby : Isaac Boss ] ] He plays scrum-half or fullback for Ulster and the Ireland national team. He has so far scored three tries for Ulster. He weighs 80 kg and is 1.78 m tall.

He was part of the U19 New Zealand Rugby World Cup team in 1999 although his Irish ancestry means that he is qualified to play rugby for Ireland. He played in New Zealand with Waikato in the National Provincial Championship and with the Hurricanes and the Chiefs in the Super 12, where he was the number one halfback for the Chiefs before the arrival of All Black Byron Kelleher. He made three substitute appearances for Ireland on the 2006 Southern Hemisphere Tour and started against Australia in the Autumn Internationals.

He scored his debut try (coming on as a replacement player at the position of scrum-half for Peter Stringer) in Ireland's 24 February 2007 victory over England. More recently he scored his second try for Ireland while playing in their World Cup warm-up match against Scotland in Murrayfield.
