Stjepan Kljuić

Stjepan Kljuić

Stjepan Kljuić (born on December 19, 1939 in Sarajevo, Kingdom of Yugoslavia, now Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a Bosnian Croat politician and academic who has been an active participant in Bosnian politics since Bosnian independence.

Stjepan Kljuić was a member of the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a founding member of the HDZ (Croatian Democratic Union) party in 1990. However, he broke with the party over their policy of irredentist expansion and Greater Croatia politics.

In 1994, he founded his own party, the Republican Party of Bosnia, which is a multi-ethnic, pro-Bosnia party.
