Rob James (magician)

Rob James (July 24, 1978–) is an English magician [ [http://www.rob-james.com Rob James official website] ] who frequently appears on television programs in England and the United States, and has performed in hundreds of international venues, from the British House of CommonsFact|date=February 2007 to the prestigious Magic Castle in Los Angeles, to a series of performances in Dubai. Biography

James was born in Torquay, England, and began learning magic at the age of 12. He later moved to Bristol to read Economics at university, and it was during this time that his interest in conjuring accelerated. He was briefly mentored by Derren Brown, another Bristol magician. Shortly after graduating, James turned to magic full-time.

He has appeared on several TV shows including the British "Popworld" [ [http://www.rob-james.com/news_popworld_wpt.html Popworld news at Rob James' website] ] , and the History Channel's "Decoding the Past" ["Decoding the Past: Secrets of the Playing Card", September 13, 2006 History Channel documentary, producers/directors: Alex Kohler and Carol White] .
