Relatively Speaking

Relatively Speaking

Relatively Speaking was a game show that aired in syndication from September 5, 1988 - June 23, 1989.

Personnel

The show was hosted by comedian John Byner, and announced by John Harlan.

Premise

This is a panel show in which a panel of four celebrities guests tried to identify a famous person whom is related to an in-studio contestant.

Gameplay

Rounds 1 & 2

In the first two rounds, the celebrity panel asked yes or no questions to the contestant. The panelist in control kept asking questions until he/she got a no answer (ala "What's My Line?" & "Figure it Out"). If the panel gets eight nos (unlike "What's My Line?" in which they're allowed 10) they got stumped and the contestant won a grand prize.

Final Round (Celebrity Round)

In the final round of the day, another celebrity guest appeared along with his/her children. Each & every one of them hidden away from the panel. If the panel gets stumped this time around, the celebrity's winnings got donated to charity.
