Hull Executive

Hull Executive

The Hull Executive is a named passenger train operated by National Express East Coast (NXEC) from Hull Paragon station to London King's Cross station in the United Kingdom.

The service was introduced in 1978 by British Rail, replacing the previous Hull Pullman service. When first introduced, the service was operated by Deltic locomotives. These were replaced by High Speed Trains in the 1980s.

The service still operates today. The name is used for the daily NXEC HST return service between Hull and London King's Cross. The service calls at Brough and Selby between the East Coast Main Line and Hull as well as some stations on the East Coast Main Line from Doncaster southwards.

Hull Trains also operate on the same route with seven services daily each way.

NXEC's three other named services are the The Northern Lights, the Highland Chieftain and, probably the most well-known, the Flying Scotsman.
