Jim Gardner (Commander in Chief character)

Jim Gardner, played by Harry J. Lennix, is the fictional White House Chief of Staff on the political television drama "Commander in Chief". Gardner is the Chief of Staff of independent President Mackenzie Allen. He previously served in the same capacity under Allen's predecessor Republican Teddy Bridges. Mackenzie Allen asked him if he wanted the position of Vice President. After thinking about it he told President Allen, "I would be honored to be your Vice President."
