Handia is a town and a nagar panchayat in Allahabad district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

In Handia, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.Handia has the one of the oldest polytechnics of the country,the handia polytechnic was innaugerated by the first prime minister Jawahar Lal Nehru in year 1956 to further the rural developement ever since it has provided numerous diploma holders in various branches of engineering.
