Kotputli is a city and a municipality in Jaipur district in the Indian state of Rajasthan near to hariyana state.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Kotputli had a population of 40,157. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Kotputli has an average literacy rate of 67%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 56%. In Kotputli, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age. and now the youngsters of this small twon are well litrete and achive high post in private and government sector in early 5 to 7 year it could be a largest industriale area of rajasthan,in education it have two PG college's one for grile's and another one is for co add,name is pana devi college,and another is L.B.S. Geography

It is situated on the National Highway No.8 at a distance of 165 k.m. from Delhi and 106 k.m. from Jaipur. It's made up of two villages called "KOT" and "PUTLI". While traveling from Delhi to Jaipur "KOT" is on the left side while "PUTLI" is on the right.

The famous places include Lalchand Laxminarayan Dharamshala(Hanuman Mandir),BDM Hospital,Sardar Senior Secondary School,Nagarpalika Park, Sitaram Arjundas Ramvilas Bagichi(I.T.I.) and Azad Chowk,etc.
