Madhupur is a city and a municipality in Deoghar district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

Geography

Madhupur is located at coord|24.25|N|86.65|E| [ [http://www.fallingrain.com/world/IN/38/Madhupur.html Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Madhupur] ] . It has an average elevation of 228 metres (748 feet).Madhupur is surrounded by to monsoon river.

It is connected by road and rail to metropolitan areas of India, such as Kolkata (Calcutta). This city is also mentioned in the movie "Vivaah", as the hometown of one of the main characters "Poonam" (played by Amrita Rao) in the film.
