Revelganj is a city and the oldest municipality in Saran district in the Indian state of Bihar.This is the birth place of Hanuman, the bhakt (devotee) of RAM; this place is also known for Ahilya Udhar. Here, people can find a temple of Maharishi Gautam. This place is also know as GautamSthan in the name of this saint. The asharam of Shringi Rishi is here. It was named after the English Magistrate Mr. Revel. Once upon a time, Revelganj was the business center for this entire area.
