David Díaz (illustrator)

David Diaz (born 1960) is an award-winning American illustrator of children's books. The American Library Association awarded Diaz with its Caldecott Medal in 1995[1] for his picture book project, Smoky Night by Eve Bunting. He was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and lives in Carlsbad, California.
