1996 MTV Movie Awards

The MTV Movie Awards 1996 were hosted by Ben Stiller and Janeane Garofalo.

The show featured four movie parodies:
* "Twister": Ben Stiller and Janeane Garofalo are racing Jay Leno to the awards in order to secure their host position.
* "Braveheart": Bob Newhart stars as Braveheart, giving a lackluster speech to rouse his men.
* "Clueless": The Golden Girls talk about life in high school.
* "Se7en": Features William Shatner as Capt. James T. Kirk, William Shatner as T.J. Hooker, and Rescue 911's William Shatner. Kirk and Hooker escort the Rescue 911 host to the desert to await a special delivery, which contains the head of William Shatner singing Mr. Tambourine Man.
