Jellyvision is a multimedia production company, founded by Harry Gottlieb, best known for making the You Don't Know Jack games. The company was originally named "Learn Television" and produced a number of edutainment titles, such as "That's A Fact, Jack!", before branching out into pure entertainment multimedia. At this point, the company name was changed to remove the educational reference and became "Burnt Jellyvision" (a form of their original name, as would be used in a You Don't Know Jack 'Gibberish' Question), but the company quickly decided to just use Jellyvision.

History

The company is also known for inventing "iCi," the Interactive Conversation Interface - a set of guidelines and principles for creating an interactive conversation with the user. Examples of this and a full set of guidelines are available on their website. The iCi guidelines evolved out of research and development on the "You Don't Know Jack" games, and are enumerated in an internal text known as "The Jack Principles".

Having broadened their focus into interactive advertising, Jellyvision now serves as a contractor for companies looking to create their own iCi conversations. Some companies that have had iCi conversations created for them include Compass Learning, #YES, Autodesk, ConnectEDU, Phillips, and several other corporations.

Currently, Jellyvision is preparing for the licensing of their TalkShow multimedia authoring environment, along with training to companies to create their own iCi conversations.
