"Snitch" is the first single from Obie Trice's second album "Second Round's on Me". It was produced by and features Akon (and briefly, Eminem). The song goes into graphic detail about what happens to snitches and how bad it is to be a snitch. In the song, Obie Trice claims that the snitches "chose the life they are living", and that they could not be weak when pressure is on them.

The song also appeared on Akon's bootleg "In My Ghetto".

Music video

The music video follows a group of people including Obie Trice, Eminem, Akon and Hassan Johnson successfully pulling off a bank robbery. Eminem makes a short appearance at the start of the video, saying "Guess Who's Back!?" and shouting "Shady". When one member of the group, played by Rick Gonzalez, refuses to "lay low" for six months and gets caught by police he "snitches" on the rest of the group and gets them put in jail. When the remainder of the group are released from jail they then track down the member of the group who "snitched" on them. The video ends when Obie Trice and the group finding and confronting the snitching member of the group with a gun, yelling: "YOU RAT bastard!"

This video was edited later on when it appeared on MTV and BET. The controversial snitching topic was not appropriate on MTV so the title had to be switched to "Mindstate of a Mobster". It is the edited version of the video. The video has no bank robbing scene and the ending is changed. The word "snitch" is censored in the chorus.
