Belmont Lake State Park

Belmont Lake State Park is located in Babylon (town), New York on Long Island in Suffolk County, New York. The park has boating and picnicking facilities and playing fields for popular sports. It is convenient to the Southern State Parkway at Exit 38 as well as Exit 37N to Belmont Avenue.

The park served as the headquarters of the Long Island State Parkway Police from its founding in 1946 until its disbandment in 1980. It now serves as the headquarters of the New York State Park Police. Robert Moses lived here, in August Belmont, Jr.'s old mansion, from the late 1920s to the end of his life.

The park manager is Sal Buonomo.
