"Insane in the Brain" was a hit single by the American hip hop group Cypress Hill. It was released in 1993 and reached number 19 in the Hot 100 chart, and number 1 in the U.S. rap chart. The song was released on the group's "Black Sunday" album. According to B-Real, the song was actually a diss song aimed at Chubb Rock. The group felt Chubb had ridiculed their style on his 1992 album. [http://www.brealonline.com/bio.html B-Real Official Website Bio] ]

The parody group Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine covered "Insane in the Brain" on their 2002 album "Tuxicity". The Connells covered it on "When Pigs Fly: Songs You Never Thought You'd Hear."
