Jacob Christopher "Jake" Lloyd (born March 5, 1989) is an American actor who gained worldwide fame when he was chosen by George Lucas to play the young Anakin Skywalker in "", the first film in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Since then, Lloyd has appeared in relatively few acting roles.

Lloyd was born in Fort Collins, Colorado, the son of Lisa, an entertainment agent, and Bill Lloyd, an E.M.T. set medic. He is best known for his performances in the films "Jingle All the Way" and '. Jake's latest film, "Madison", a box office failure, was filmed in 2001 but not released until April, 2005. That year he also gave MTV his first interview since ' in which he stated that he is again auditioning for roles.

In 2007, Lloyd graduated from Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana. He is currently attending Columbia College Chicago as a film and video major.Fact|date=December 2007
