Kutchi people

The Kutchi people traditionally reside in the Kutch region of the western Indian state of Gujarat. Modern day Kachhis have moved out of Kutch to nearby commercial havens such as Ahmedabad, Baroda, and Mumbai, and to neighbouring states such as Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Punjab.

Language

The Kutchi language is one of the Indo-Aryan languages, part of the Indo-European language family. Most Kachhis living in India also speak closely-related languages such as Gujarati and Hindi, especially those living in cosmopolitan cities such as Mumbai (Bombay) and states like kerala.

Religion

Kachhis mainly adhere to the Vaishnavhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaishnav,Hindu, Jain, and Ismaili Muslim faiths.
