Mystery schools

A mystery school is a university of the soul, a school for the study of the mysteries of the inner nature of humanity and of the universe. By understanding these mysteries, the student perceives his intimate relationship with his or her inner divinity and with the universe. Students of mystery schools engage in mental disciplines to enhance one's focus and to drown out old or traditional mindsets. Mystery schools are not to be mistaken for religions, cults, or New Age institutions with New Age ideas. Their is no central figure of worship and their is no following of anything.

The mindsets of the aspirant are meditated upon in order to rise above the animal nature to a more divine nature. This goes beyond clinical psychological work which focuses on the diseased or unbalanced mind. (Although these individual reconciliations may need to be addressed before the spiritual goals can be reached.) The ultimate idea that all humankind is connected and a part of One All-Mind or Cosmic Mind. It is believed that each individual who reaches an enlightened state helps the whole of humanity exponentially. The hope is that one day the human race will reach a state of "no more sorrow and no more pain" in their interactions with each other, thereby fulfilling sacred scripture and evolution simultaneously.
