Lord Barrett

Lord Barrett

Lord Barrett of Newburgh was a title in the Peerage of Scotland, created on 17 October 1627 for Sir Edward Barrett, who later became Chancellor of the Exchequer (1628-29) and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (1629-1644), and was invested as a member of the Privy Council. On his death in 1645, the title became extinct.
