Bronwyn Thompson

Bronwyn Thompson (born 29 January 1978) is a long jumper from Australia.

Her current personal best jump is 7.00 metres, achieved in March 2002 in Melbourne, and she placed fourth at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Shortly afterwards, Bronwyn hyperextended her right knee at a meet in Italy, and required reconstructive surgery [cite web|url= http://www.bronwynthompson.com/|title= Official website] . At the 2008 Summer Olympics, in the women's long jump qualifying heats, Bronwyn gained a foul on her first attempt, 6.53m on her second attempt, and a foul in her third attempt. She therefore did not progress to the finals.

Bronwyn is coached by Gary Bourne. She works also as a paediatric physiotherapist [cite web|url= http://www.bronwynthompson.com/|title= Official website] .
