"Tar" is the debut single by the British New Romantic group Visage. It was initially released on Radar Records on September 7, 1979, before the band had signed to Polydor. Although not a chart hit, the track is also available on Visage's eponymous debut album released in 1980.

The lyrics are centered around the habit of smoking cigarettes.

The b-side to the single is "Frequency 7", a rapid synth song with robotic vocodor vocals. This version of Frequency 7 has never been re-released since 1979; the more common "Dance Mix" of the song is stripped of all vocals.
