John Stackhouse (botanist)

John Stackhouse (1742 – November 22, 1819, Bath, Somerset [cite web|url=http://www.thebookofdays.com/months/nov/22.htm|title="November 22nd", The Book of Days, Chambers, 1869|accessdate=2007-11-21] ) was an English botanist.

He was the author of "Nereis Britannica; or a Botanical Description of British Marine Plants, in Latin and English, accompanied with Drawings from Nature" (1797).

Trivia

Professional NBA player Jerry Stackhouse is a direct descendant of John Stackhouse.
