Pulling (TV series)

"Pulling" is a BBC comedy series, produced by Silver River Productions, broadcast on BBC Three. It was co-written by Sharon Horgan and Dennis Kelly and stars Sharon Horgan as Donna, Tanya Franks as Karen, Rebekah Staton as Louise and Cavan Clerkin as Karl.

"Pulling" was the last comedy show developed by Harry Thompson before his death.

The first series, which comprised six episodes, was first shown in 2007 on BBC Three, then repeated on BBC Two in early 2008.

A second six-episode series of "Pulling" began airing on BBC Three on Sunday evenings (repeated later each week) from 23 March 2008. The series concluded on 27 April 2008.

"Episode One"

On her hen night, as she watches Louise stage dive into a crowded dancefloor and Karen recreate the Bacardi ad on the club bar, Donna realises with absolute drunken clarity that single girls have more fun. In this state of inebriation she declares the wedding off. Karl responds by running into the kitchen wall and begging Donna not to leave him. Donna moves in with Karen, and so life begins.

"Episode Two"

Donna decides that it's time to completely re-evaluate her life and puts herself back on the job market. A "tired and emotional" Karen manages to do the same thing by bursting into tears in front of her class of infants, and quickly resolves to live the life of a free-spirited alcoholic. Meanwhile, Louise decides that she's fallen in love with Karen's most recent conquest, 'Thingy'.

eries Two

"Episode Five"

Karen dates Justin, the man who won't stop crying. Louise becomes addicted to stealing.

"Episode Six"

Karen is pregnant by Billy. She doesn't want him to know, but Louise tells him anyway.
