Univalle, as it is commonly known, has two main campuses in Cali, several regional branches across the state, and one in the neighboring state of Cauca: Palmira, Buga, Caicedonia, Buenaventura, Yumbo, Tulua, Zarzal, Cartago and Santander de Quilichao (Cauca).The main campus located in Melendez, south of Cali, hosts the majority of Schools with a wide variety of graduate and undergraduate programs in Engineering, Humanities, Sciences, Integrated Arts and Social and Economic Sciences. Its second Cali campus, San Fernando, is host to the Schools of Health and Business Administration. The school of medicine has a well earned national and international reputation. Univalle also has a radio station, Univalle Estereo, a university TV channel and a cultural newspaper, La Palabra.
The "Universidad del Valle" is a state-funded public university founded in
1945 .From
