Ohio (1953 song)

Ohio (1953 song)

"Ohio" is a song from the 1953 Broadway musical Wonderful Town,[1] sung by the protagonists, bemoaning the fact that they had left Ohio for New York.

It was written by Leonard Bernstein, Betty Comden, and Adolph Green.[2]

In the original 1953 broadway production, the song was performed by Rosalind Russell[3]. A noteworthy recording of the song was made by Doris Day as part of her album, Show Time. An additional noteworthy release was in November of 2010 when it was sung by Carol Burnett and Jane Lynch on the popular U.S. television show Glee.[4][5][6]
