San Basile is a town and "comune" in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region of southern Italy.

Notes and references

Several families from San Basile emigrated to Brazil, Argentina and United States in the beginning of the last century (1900). In Brazil, some of these families established their new life in Rio de Janeiro and developed commercial activities and small industries. Some of the descendants have, after 100 years the emigration, still connections with San Basile and visit the city and the Calabrian region.
