Blair Charters

Blair Charters is a student of Tai Chi Chuan and resides in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Trained in the discipline since 1985, Mr. Charters has trained in and taught the Tai Chi arts to hundreds of students over a span of more than twenty years. He is presently teaching classes in Tai Chi in Saskatoon. Mr. Charters is trained in the Yang style of Tai Chi with forms and weapon training. Also, Mr Charters has training in the partner set or fighting form known as San Shou. He continues to teach as of December 2007 both Tai Chi and Qi Qong along with weapon training to more advanced students. The foundation instruction focuses on ankle, knee, and hip stability during whole body motion. The San Shou set is the basic foundation of the self defense practiced. Silk reeling is the underlying principle used in the push hands pracice. Distinguishing the difference between flow and jerkiness, floating and grounded, unified and double minded, are the keys to self defense efficiency. Isolating motions from taiji sets is the basis of the qigong instruction. [http://www.refinersonline.org/refinery/refclasses.htm]
