Annie McGuire

Annie McGuire reads out emails and text messages on the BBC Radio Scotland football phone-in show 'Your Call' presented by sports journalist Jim Traynor.

Five Live used her as a stringer for Wimbledon coverage and she has linked Radio Scotland's New Music Zone and T in the Park coverage and is also a terrific music presenter in her own right having sat in for major Scottish music DJs.

Born in Elderslie, Annie attended St.Cuthbert's High School in Johnstone, Renfrewshire before studying Scottish Literature at the University of Glasgow, and Journalism Studies at Strathclyde University. Her parents are from Shetland.

Prior to working for the BBC, she worked at the SFA's Football Museum and the Herald newspaper in Glasgow. McGuire is also a qualified football referee.

She was once ranked as the 41st most eligible woman in Scotland by Scotland on Sunday magazine.
