is a district located in Shizuoka, Japan.

As of 2003, the district has an estimated population of 26,859 and a density of 497.85 persons per km². The total area is 53.95 km².

History

The town of Kanbara became part of the city of Shizuoka (Shimizu-ku) on March 31, 2006.

On November 1, 2008, Yui will be merged into Shimizu Ward in Shizuoka and Fujikawa will be merged into Fuji. Therefore, Ihara District will dissolve.http://www.kokudo.or.jp/new/cities/sub/chubu/22.htm]
