Ian Corrigan

Ian Corrigan (legal name Jeffrey L. Wyndham) is an American Neopagan writer, teacher, musician and ritualist whose work has influenced both the Wiccan and Neo-druidic branches of the Pagan movement.

Training, teaching and contributions

Corrigan's public teaching efforts began in 1976, when he taught ‘Witchcraft, Magic & the Occult’ for the Kent State University Free School. ["Unmasking the Myth: Witches Celebrate Their Everyday Religion" by Michael Drexler (The News Herald Oct. 25th, 1987)] In the late 1970s he helped to found the Chameleon Club, which has played a part in Pagan and alternative organizing since that time."The Witches Among Us" by Sally Norman (The Plain Dealer Magazine March 22nd, 1987)] He is a principal organizer of the Starwood Festival and the WinterStar Symposium.

In 1983 he received his 3rd degree initiation in "Celtic Traditional Wicca", specifically in the New England Covens of Traditionalist Witches (N.E.C.T.W.) lineage. He was recruited by Isaac Bonewits to serve on the Board of Directors of Ar nDraiocht Fein (ADF). In 1990 he helped to found Stone Creed Grove, ADF, and became more active in North American Neo-druidic teaching and organizing. As of 2006, he is serving as Preceptor of ADF's Clergy Council, and remains a frequent teacher and performer at festivals.

Music

Corrigan is best known as a singer, guitarist and performer, and is the author of several pieces of liturgical music in general use in the Pagan movement (the chant 'Hoof and Horn', included in the CD "Chants: Ritual Music From Reclaiming and Friends" (Serpentine Music Productions), being the most well-known). A member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, his first recording was on "Neandir: Lady of the Flame" with Victoria Ganger. He is also part of the Starwood Sizzlers and ACE's house band Chameleon, and has recorded with both.
