Sir Wilfrid Laurier Collegiate Institute is a public high school in Toronto, located in southern Scarborough, specifically, in the heart of Guildwood Village beside The Guild Inn at 145 Guildwood Parkway. It is named in honour of Sir Wilfrid Laurier, the seventh Prime Minister of Canada.

The school has a diverse population of approximately 1100 students; about 40% primarily speak a language other than English and 15% of the school population has been living in Canada for less than 5 years. The motto of the school is "Hoc Tempus est Tibi" which translates into English as "This Time is for You".

Academics

Laurier doesn't have the greatest reputation for academic performance, but has been making progress in the last few years. The school is currently ranked 610 out of 725 on the Fraser Institute Secondary School report card, and had an overall grade of 4.6 out of 10 for 2007 (up from 3.5 out of 10 in 2003).

Laurier was granted the status of an IB World School in May 2007 and now offers the International Baccalaureate Programme to students in grades 11 and 12.
