David Berman is an actor and full-time researcher on the TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. In the show he plays the role of Assistant Coroner David "Super Dave" Phillips.[1] The role was recurring at first, but, as of the tenth season, Berman has been promoted to a main character, appearing in the show's opening credits.

Behind the scenes he also acts as head researcher on the show maintaining a long list of contacts in order to verify facts, research procedures and technologies. His brother Josh Berman is a co-producer of the program.

In 2006 he appeared in seven episodes of the cancelled TV series Vanished as Agent Edward Dockery.

In the Heroes episode "Homecoming", his name was featured on the List, and he played Brian Davis in the next episode, "Six Months Ago". He also appears on the American comedy-drama/fantasy television series "Drop Dead Diva" seasons 1 and 2 as Hank, a bailiff whom the lead character has been d ating.
