Bill Carmody (December 4, 1951 – ) is an American college men's basketball coach. The Spring Lake, New Jersey native is the current head coach at Northwestern University. Prior to this he followed the legendary Pete Carril as head coach at Princeton University, after serving as his assistant for fourteen years. Carmody coached Princeton to a No. 7 ranking in 1997-98 season, leading to a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament. He is considered as one of the gurus of the Princeton offense.

Carmody attended St. Rose High School in Belmar, New Jersey, and is a 1975 graduate of Union College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in history and led the school's basketball team to a 59-11 record in his three years as a starter.
