Sakara can refer to:

*Sakara (instrument), a traditional drum from Yoruba of Nigeria
*Sakara (Mahasiddha), one of the 84 Mahasiddhas of Buddhism

Sakara is a musical genre as well as a musical instrument of the Yoruba people of Nigeria. A Sakara group is composed of the sakara instrument, one or many varieties of the minorDundun drums, the conga and the Goje, the one-string Kora-like musical instrument. It is slow-tempo music compared with other Yoruba musical forms. It's the slowest in short.

The most known Sakara musician was the Late Yusuff Olatunji a prominent Goje player.
