Caribbean Journal of Science

The "Caribbean Journal of Science" (CJS) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing articles, research notes, and book reviews related to science in the Caribbean, with an emphasis on botany, zoology, ecology, conservation biology, geology, archaeology, and paleontology. The journal was founded in 1961 with the sponsorship of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. The CJS publishes three issues per year, in April, August and December. Its ISSN is 0008-6452.

"CJS" has had a website since 1995 and has released a digital version as a supplement to the printed journal since 1997. It was first scientific journal to digitalize its complete collection and offer it on CD-ROM and is one of very few journals to offer free access to all its articles.
