The largest of the Sino-Tibetan peoples are Han Chinese numbering 1.3 billion people. They are also the largest single human ethnic group in the world. Han Chinese mostly live in the
People's Republic of China ,Republic of China (Taiwan) andSingapore . Other large Sino-Tibetan peoples are Hui (10,300,000), Tibetans (5,600,000), Bhutanese (1,500,000),Newar (1,000,000), Burmese (42,200,000), Naga (1,200,000), Bodo (1,000,000), Kachin (1,000,000), Karen (4,700,000),Tamang (1,100,000), Manipuris (1,500,000), Yi (6,600,000), and Chin (1,100,000). The Hui people live in theNingxia autonomous region of China. Burmese and Bhutanese peoples mostly live inMyanmar (Burma) andBhutan . Rakhine, Kachin, Karen, Red Karen, and Chin peoples live in Rakhine, Kachin, Kayin, Kayah, and Chin states of Myanmar. Tibetans live in theTibet autonomous region,Qinghai , WesternSichuan ,Gansu and NorthernYunnan provinces in China and inLadakh in India, while Manipuris, Mizo, Naga, Tripuri and Garo live inManipur ,Mizoram ,Nagaland ,Tripura , andMeghalaya states ofIndia . Bodo and Karbi live inAssam (India), while Adi, Nishi, Monpa, and Apa Tani live inArunachal Pradesh (India).References
