Léo Richer Laflèche, D.S.O. (
April 16 1888 –March 7 1956 ) was a Canadian general, civil servant, diplomat, and politician.Born in
Sorel, Quebec , he served with the 22nd Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force duringWorld War I as a captain and major. In 1917, he was awarded the D.S.O. and theLégion d'honneur of France. He later became Lieutenant-Colonel Commanding the District Depot No. 4, Montreal.
